WWA STANDS FOR WARSAW

..and second A is obviously for 'Architects'. But we also go by the name Warsaw Workshop of Architecture. We refer to Warsaw, firstly, because we are based here and in most of our projects we are concerned with this city, secondly, we feel raised and somehow formed as professionals partly thanks to our fascination with the history and the unique beauty of its own of our city.

As WWAA we are interested in the whole range of different projects, as we are constantly on the lookout for new opportunities when it comes to designing space. Basically, on one hand we try to deal with urban scale architecture, hence the projects of Polish Pavilion and Cultural Centre 'SDK', on the other we do some temporary installations, such as exhibitions, events, stage design etc. Since we do like to experiment we run an experimental design class during Architecture for Society of Knowledge (ASK) Course offered at Warsaw Technical University (PW).

WWAA has been officially registered since 2006, went full-steam in 2007 when winning the competition for Polish Pavilion in Shanghai. Since 2010 we have been tightly cooperating on several projects with a renowned Slovakian, now based in Warsaw, stage designer Boris Kudlicka.
